Their film, The Dark Web, follows the story of two young girls lured and abducted by a trafficking ring operating through encrypted online networks. Though fictional, the narrative draws heavily from real-world threats — crypto-driven crimes, online grooming, identity theft, and psychological control.
“We’ve spent over a year researching this domain,” said Girish Vaikom. “The findings — and what current headlines now reveal — are profoundly disturbing.”
Penned by James Bright, the screenplay stems from deep research into cybercrime patterns, victim psychology, and dark web activities. The film highlights not only technological exploitation but also the emotional and social scars inflicted upon victims.
“This isn’t merely about hacking or cryptocurrency,” Vaikom explained. “It’s about hidden digital networks destroying young lives — while society often remains unaware.”
The Dark Web is scheduled for a multi-language release across India, accompanied by a script book and an interactive campaign to raise awareness among parents and youth.
“We didn’t design this around the scandal,” Vaikom concluded. “But if our story can spark caution and conversation, then art has fulfilled its true purpose.”
